Dr. Deanna Armstrong, DVM, CVA is originally from the Florida Keys, where she enjoyed boating, fishing, and snorkeling. She graduated in 2006 from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. Continuing her education as a true Florida Gator, she then completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 2011.
After graduation Dr. Armstrong moved to Orlando, FL to be near family and friends. She began her career as a veterinarian in small animal general practice, which was soon followed by her passion of emergency veterinary medicine. Dr. Armstrong has a well-rounded background and is excited to integrate conventional veterinary medicine with Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
She has completed her training in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and Acupuncture at the legendary Chi Institute in Central Florida for both small and large animals. She has furthered her education with advanced acupuncture courses and is currently pursuing coursework in food therapy and Chinese herbal therapy healing. Her professional special interests include veterinary acupuncture, emergency medicine/critical care, and feline medicine. Dr. Armstrong and her husband, Stephen, founded and opened Furever Family Animal Hospital in 2018 and are excited to provide elite and compassionate veterinary care to the community.
Dr. Armstrong enjoys reading books, boating, and spending time with her family, pets, and loved ones in her free time.
Kris originates from the mountains of Pennsylvania. She is a dedicated graduate from Penn State University with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. Kris moved to Florida in 2008 to make Orlando her new home. She has been a passionate part of veterinary medicine for over 6 years. She is proficient as a surgical technician and has an extensive background with handling and care of exotic species including pocket pets, reptiles, and birds of all sizes. She also has unique experiences working on animal behavior and husbandry with rhinos, giraffes, zebras, elephants, lions, bats, and so much more. Kris is excited to be a part of our furever family and continues to grow in her leadership role as our Hospital Lead Veterinary Technician. Kris enjoys working with special needs patients that require extra attention and care during their veterinary visits.
Drew is originally from New Jersey and relocated to Central Florida in 2013 to continue his veterinary technician career. Drew enjoys working in veterinary medicine, where he can combine his love for pets with his passion for working with people. Drew is not only experienced in working with cats and dogs, but also has a strong interest in pocket pets. He enjoys veterinary client education, preventative care, and surgical nursing. Drew married his husband, Alan, in 2016 and they have two fur babies Skylar (a chihuahua) and Jordy (a ferret).
Drew is furthering his veterinary career as a part of our Furever Family and excited to work in private practice where he can enjoy more quality time with each pet and their human parents.
Angel is a native Floridian, who was raised in Central Florida on a farm where she cared for horses, cows, chickens, ducks, and donkeys. Angel was introduced to veterinary medicine in the footsteps of her talented mother, Kathie. Angle has a diverse and critical role at Furever Family Animal Hospital as a receptionist, technician, and personal assistant to Dr. Armstrong and her children. Customer service is a forte' for Angel with her friendly personality and big smile. She loves to meet new clients and their furbabies. She is eager to learn new things and continue to grow as part of our furever family. Angel is a newly-wed and very excited for her growing family. In her spare time, Angel enjoys spending time with family and loved ones, including her chihuahua, Bogo.
